Meet the Team

Danni Thunell Ende: Editor

The Bay Magazine was Danni’s brainchild. Born out of her belief that the majority of community based publications were downright dull and of poor production quality. She identified the gap and decided to produce a publication that targeted the wealthy residents of some of Cape Towns more upmarket suburbs. Her vision was to create a glossy, informative community centric monthly read which spoke of people, business and lifestyle – and so The Bay Magazine was established in 2006. Personally Danni strives to elevate things out of the ordinary and has that flair for a special touch. Her role as Editor in Chief finds her permanently in search of new ideas and highlights her critical eye for content. Her strong business acumen, attention to detail and unrelenting passion has been the backbone of the magazines success.

Wendy Rabbitte: Senior Sales Consultant

Wendy has been working in advertising for the past twelve years. Her career has spanned many aspects of the industry from marketing, to features and news. As the first member of The Bay Magazines staff her industry experience and client network have proved invaluable. She’s an innovative and caring person who’s got a real knack for finding the best way of helping a client market their product/company within budget. Her social and approachable demeanour has seen many a client become a firm friend. Having moved to SA from the United Kingdom she has worked very hard to build a life for herself here and nothing makes her happier than receiving feedback from clients and readers alike. She’s an absolute asset to The Bay Magazine’s team.

Margs Marks: Graphic Designer

Margaret has been in the Graphic design industry for 25 years, specializing  in package design and publishing. Previously she was one of the founding members of a well known travel magazine taking it from 8 pages to 184 but left the industry when her husband was posted abroad for a couple of years. On return, she once again entered the design industry and in 2006, she joined the Bay Mag team with the production of their first issue. Margaret is married with four children and has lived in Hout Bay for 15 years. Working on the Bay Mag has been stimulating and fulfilling but most beneficial of all, it has helped forge stronger ties with the community.
